S = Specific, M = Measurable, A = Attainable, R = Realistic, and T = Timeous or Time Bound.
So with the NutriBalance System, we are :
- Specific - we measure the RNI (Recommended Nutrient Intake) for a specific person or household composition.
- Measurable - We use NHMRC's metrics for RNI Intakes, FSANZ's metrics for food nutrient values, for the 37 (now 51) nutrients, minerals. vitamins, amino acids, etc. deemed 'essential' for healthy living, for balancing your diet, no matter what regime you follow - Paleo or Vegan.
- Attainable - Using the above metrics, comparing what you need against what you eat, is easily done, quickly and efficiently, done on Mobiles/Web.
- Realistic = If your data is sound, then the results are realistic and useable
- Timeous / Timebound = Data needs to captured timeously, be accurate and complete to be of any use. We recommend a "Spot Check" of your and/or your household's consumption once every 5 years, or whenever circumstances or eating patterns change.
